LGBTQ

Human expression is an important part of the human experience, and identifying and claiming one’s sexual orientation or gender identity is a personal journey. I understand how vulnerable this journey is and aim to provide a safe, accepting, and non-judgmental environment that focuses on celebrating your unique self and diversity. All relationship types and structures are also welcome.

Couples

Couples therapy can serve several different functions depending on the needs of the couple. Sometimes a couple needs therapy to help reconnect emotionally and sexually or help learn about themselves and one another to improve communication, identify relationship goals, and break dysfunctional patterns. Other times couples therapy is needed to navigate the end of a relationship with grace and decide how to co-parent in a new dynamic. Or perhaps you know your relationship just needs help and you aren’t sure what the path forward looks like. I am here to listen and guide both partners, help decipher what is needed from everyone, and find a compromise moving forward.

Grief

Grief is an emotional response to the loss of something or someone important, and this can present in many ways throughout life. This can leave one feeling isolated and defeated, and without a path forward. I am here to provide compassion and support on this vulnerable journey to find acceptance, healing, and new ways of finding joy.

Trauma

Trauma can be experienced in several ways and often leaves the nervous system overwhelmed and impairs our ability to cope. The effects of trauma can greatly impact our lives, our relationships, and our sense of self, leaving one feeling stuck and unsure how to manage the symptoms. Learning how to process trauma and integrate information can help you reclaim your life and manage the distress and symptoms more effectively and improve relationships.

Neurodivergence

The term neurodivergence refers to people who think, process information, and experience the world differently and includes ADHD, dyslexia, and autism. Neurodivergence has no bearing on intelligence, it simply indicates that those who are neurodivergent face unique challenges, and have special skills that set them apart. I understand the sensitivities and unique traits of neurodivergent people and provide tailored methods to practice mindfulness, managing emotions, relating to others, and handling moments of distress.
