Life moves fast, and oftentimes feels like it’s moving even faster. In the hectic everyday of life, we begin to focus overwhelmingly on what’s going wrong, and lose sight of what’s going right, and what we can use to get better. I believe that every single person has the ability to change and live the life they want too; the trouble lies in the path from where we are to where we want to be.
In my approach to therapy, grounded in a framework where I as the counselor am the advocate for helping you make the changes that you want to see in your life, we’ll use evidence-based counseling approaches like EMDR, Acceptance-Commitment Therapy (ACT) and Strengths-Based Positive Psychology to explore not only what’s troubling you in life, but also the tools, strengths, and abilities that you already have to begin making a change.
I work with ages 13 and up.
